As a nun in a convent, she began to take an interest in the performing arts and participated in various school plays. She began her TV career at a young age and was later signed for a role in the film 'Dead Innocent.' After the release of her debut film, she moved to Toronto, where she worked for various acting roles. Her work was well-received by the public for her performance on film and on television. Hampshire relocated from New York in the United States to Los Angeles. She starred as a leading actress in numerous notable films. She also acted as the character actor on a number of animated television shows. Emily Smith was later married Matthew Smith.
